Abstract: We have developed a formalism by combining the tight binding linearized muffin-tin orbital and the recursion methods with the augmented space formalism (TB-LMTO-ASR) to study noncollinear magnetism in disordered alloys. We apply the TB-LMTO-ASR to study disordered MnPt and Mn3Rh alloys. The electronic structures of these alloys in different magnetic structures have been calculated and compared to the previous theoretical results.
